Ahoy, graafisen alan toverit! Etsimme 120 m2:n työhuoneellemme uusia kavereita. Byroomme sijaitsee Tampereen keskustassa ja soveltuu niin graafikolle, kuvittajalle, kuvaajalle kuin maalarillekin. Mitään 3x8-metrisiä teoksia täällä ei kykene kyllä tekemään, mutta tilaa on nyt vallattavana, joten pohjapiirustusta voidaan säätää hieman tarpeiden mukaan. And as if I didn't have anything else to do at the moment, I decided it was time Daily Hero Press started a new project, a series, in fact. I've been playing around with the idea of having a smaller publication of some sort with different artists pitching in, and that's how the Mini Hero series begun. So far I have several artists onboard, but no clue to when their stuff will be out. Anyhow, the first Mini Hero book (28 pages in length, in cute A6 format) is called Ink Retrospect, a sort of autobiography of yours truly. The book is launched in San Diego and is entirely in English this time around. You'll also be able to order the book from our online store later on in August, when I get back.

Ihan kuin rautoja ei olisi tarpeeksi tulessa, tuumailin että Daily Hero Pressin tulisi saada uusi projekti käyntiin: Mini Hero -sarja. Kyseessä on useamman pienlehden käsittävä sarja, johon ottaa osaa eri piirtäjiä ja taiteilijoita. Tämä on ollut suunnitteilla jo pitkään, mutta koska asiat useasti tuntuvat polkevan paikallaan, päätin yllättäen ottaa itseäni niskasta kiinni ja repäistä ensimmäisen lehdykän omatoimisesti. Jo tällä hetkellä on kuitenkin useampi taiteilija jo mukana, mutta tarkempaa aikataulua en vielä uskalla povata. Joka tapauksessa, ensimmäinen Mini Hero -lehtinen on 28-sivuinen, A6-kokoinen mustavalkosarjakuva nimeltään Ink Retrospect, jonninlainen henkkoht elämänkerta. Kirjanen on tällä kertaa täysin englanninkielinen ja se julkistetaan San Diegon sarjisfestareilla tänä viikonloppuna. Ink Retrospect tulee kyllä myös nettikauppaamme myyntiin, jahka pääsen takaisin kotimaahan elokuussa.
